An Acoustic Investigation of Syllable Weight in Persian

Abstract

In this paper, the acoustic feautures of syllable weight in Persian are investigated. Using PRAAT software, duration is analyzed as the acoustic correlates of syllable weight in Persian. The syllable weight ranking is cvcc> cvc> cv.
