Journal of Researches in Linguistics publishes articles and reviews from different areas of linguistics: syntax, semantics, morphology, phonology, phonetics, and pragmatics. In addition, it accepts articles and reviews from neighboring disciplines such as sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, psycholinguistics, translation studies and language acquisition. It  also publishes occasional papers and special issues and welcomes proposals for them.

  Although the main issues of the journal are published in Persian; however abstracts of articles are published in English as well. Moreover, with its international editorial board, the journal also provides an international forum for researches in linguistics in general and Persian linguistics in particular by publishing  special issues in English intervally.
